Karst

Slovenian Karst or Classical Karst (it. Carso) is known for its colourfulness. This is the place where most often during the winter the bora wind blows at high speed. For centuries, karst households have used the bora to cure their famous karst pršut (it. prosciutto), the dried pork leg that is a unique delicacy with its special aroma and flavour. Nowadays, many people come here to enjoy and admire the preserved architecture and taste the uniqueness of Karst.
